ZINC PLATING TREATMENTS
Active for many years in the sector at national level, Zincoplating in Moncalieri is specialised in carrying out coatings in zinc plating which are able to effectively protect metals from corrosion. Zinc electroplating is carried out in the laboratories of Zincoplating with trivalent and sealed chromic passivation (to confer greater resistance to corrosion).
Zinc electroplating
The piece to be treated is first pre-degreased, pickled and degreased, in order to be ready for application of the zinc layer. The material is subsequently immersed in a special electrolytic solution based on zinc salts. Creating a flow of current between the piece and the solution, the metallic zinc settles on the surface of the piece itself. The electrolytic treatment, particularly the alkaline process, makes it possible to obtain excellent corrosion resistance even with thin layers of zinc.
Black trivalent procedure
In recent years, passivation free from hexavalent chromium has been developed which is increasingly effective and, at the same time, safe for the environment. Among these processes, which are widely applied in the modern factory in Via Vittime del Vajont, in the south ring road industrial area just outside Turin, black trivalent zinc plating gives optimal results in terms of performance and corrosion resistance, while reducing the environmental impact of the treatment.
